Allgäu cycling tour
===================

The 4-star ADFC-certified cycling route offers over 475 kilometers of cycling fun for all abilities as you cycle through the stunning landscape of the Allgäu region. The route leads through six districts in Bavaria, the neighboring states of Baden-Württemberg and Tyrol. Thanks to two connecting routes – the Iller Cycle Path and the Allgäu Cycle Path – there are numerous options for exploring this exceptional long-distance cycle path. Over 50 train stations along the route guarantee maximum flexibility for individual route planning. E-bike riders can also equip themselves at one of over 20 rental stations and enjoy the tour.

The cycling route is divided into eight different themed areas: the "Paths of Happiness," the "Homeland," the "Natural Treasures," the "Waterways," the "Alpine Gardens," the "Summit Worlds," the "Panoramic Views," and the "Castle Park." Cyclists have every opportunity to explore the wonderful Allgäu countryside, whether it's wide, green plains, gently rolling hills, or imposing mountain scenery – there's something for everyone.

Bad Wörishofen lies along the "Paths of Happiness" – the home of the water doctor Sebastian Kneipp, who helped many sick people regain their health. His unwavering belief in the healing powers of nature continues to shape this region today. His legacy can still be found in Bad Wörishofen, Bad Grönenbach, and Ottobeuren. The gently rolling, ancient moraine landscape of the "Paths of Happiness" is perfect for a relaxing bike ride through beautiful natural surroundings.
