Not so much the physical condition, but the pleasure of walking and the countryside itself are in the foreground.


The landscape around Bad Wörishofen seems to be designed for cycling – especially for holiday-makers who want to move around healthy and without overexerting themselves.

Recovering and enhancing your bodily condition on panoramic trails - this delightful experience is offered on the biking trails in and around Bad Wörishofen. The 250 kilometers long network of paths leads cycling fans through flat and slightly hilly terrain with stunning views of the nearby Alps. Past lush meadows, majestic monasteries and ancient mills, far away from city traffic and hustle and bustle. One of the highlights of the region is the Allgäu cycle loop trail leading around 450 kilometers through the whole Allgäu. Many tours around our place are waiting to be discovered.

The Kneipp cycle path, for example, shows you around in the footsteps of Father Kneipp. Many tours also lead to the excursion destinations in the urban hinterland, e.g. to Irsee with a baroque monastery church and the brewery museum.

Rental bikes are available in many homes directly or from one of the local dealers - whether an e-bikes or a normal bike. For e-bikes, there are sufficient power supply stations available for recharging along the routes.


There are 20 clay courts and two indoor tennis courts in Bad Wörishofen.

Tennis enthusiasts have the opportunity to pursue the sport on the beautifully situated club facility in the middle of the spa park. The tennis & tournament club Bad Wörishofen makes it possible for every holidaymaker to fully integrate in the general training programme. So guests of partner hotels have free access and will always find adequate partners when participating in the "morning round for club members and guests" which turns the cure into an active sports event.


The 18-hole golf course of the golf club Bad Wörishofen-Rieden is located in a unique park-like landscape. The beautiful old trees and the scenic views of mountains and lakes provide an extra contribution to recreation and relaxation in addition to the sporting activities.

As the golf sport is considered to be an ideal complement to Kneipp’s therapy, more and more resort guests become users of the course. The golf course is the first Kneipp certified course in Germany. Some hotels provide their guests reduced green fees.

Guided city tours

The small farming village Wörishofen in the Allgäu quickly transformed itself in the 19th century into a renowned health resort. It's status as a health resort rests on the efforts of just one man: Sebastian Kneipp. It was here in Wörishofen that he propagated his thoughts on healthy living.

Today, the city of 17,000 inhabitants boasts the first and biggest Kneipp health spa. It's one of the most beautiful spas in all of Germany.
