The small farming village Wörishofen in the Allgäu quickly transformed itself in the 19th century into a renowned health resort. It's status as a health resort rests on the efforts of just one man: Sebastian Kneipp. It was here in Wörishofen that he propagated his thoughts on healthy living.
Today, the city of 17,000 inhabitants boasts the first and biggest Kneipp health spa. It's one of the most beautiful spas in all of Germany.
