Spa gardens

The spa gardens present themselves on a total area of 163,000 m² in manifold ways in the west of the spa. Not only pure green areas may be discovered, but also a range of facilities such as the thorn house, a natural brine open air inhalatorium.

After crossing Alfred Baumgarten street you will come across the oldest well in the city. On your way to the gardens there are, to your left, the public Kneipp facility (accessible to children and disabled) and the Osteo walk. Even the fragrance and aroma garden with over 250 scenting plant species and three medicinal herb gardens are laid out in the park. Here the Kneipp herbal medicine can be traced back to its roots: from arnica to wormwood, from eyebright to horsetail you find everything used in the medicine cabinet of the water doctor. Then we are strolling along the large pond with a fountain down to the two aviaries for decorative birds. Yet you are standing in the middle of the rose garden which invites to linger with 6,000 rose trees and bushes and 550 varieties. On your walk to the newer part of the park, there are various sculptures of the Art Spring, an orchard and different wetlands.
